Create a Postcard in Photoshop

exercise61.jpg

In this exercise we will create a 15 cm * 15 cm sized image and we will use a part of the image as an effect in some text.

In this tutorial you will learn how to:

  1. Change the image size with the Crop tool
  2. Change the Document size in the Canvas size window
  3. Unlock the background layer
  4. Open the Styles palette
  5. Open the Photographic Effects style gallery
  6. Use the style Sepia Tone
  7. Use the Eyedropper tool
  8. Use the Gradient tool
  9. Horizontal Type Mask
  10. Character palette
  11. Create text with an image inside
  12. Outer Glow layer style

Welcome back! Nice to see you again, hope you enjoy your visit.

I’m sorry about the error message. Some of the messages are hold for moderating. I guess it’s my spam filter acting up.

Good to hear that you’re recovering. I know how hard it is to keep off the computer when you should but don’t want to.

The photo isn’t mine, but I loved it and used it on one of my tutorials. I would love to give the photographer some credit, but I can’t find it on the free photo site I used.
