Working on my blog

I’m working on my blog trying to figure out why the navigation doesn’t work as it should. At the same time I’m going to delete some of my old posts and I’ve also closed commenting on all posts older than 2 months. I’m getting a lot of spam on those old posts and was hoping turning off commenting would help that out.

Update

I’ve edited my posts and I’ve also deleted a lot of old posts, so my blog is a lot thinner now. I do not want t delete any more posts, even though the problem with my previous and next post links is still there.

Sorrow’s had some reader problem, which are probably caused by me adding some google ads to some of the posts. I’ve also chosen to embed the flash presentations into my posts instead of linkin them in new windows. Don’t know if it’s a good idea, but I noticed some people had problems finding the linked presentations. I’ll embed them for a while and see what happens.

New look

I’ve updated Wordpress to version 2.8 and also redesigned my blog. It didn’t take me that long to update the look thanks to a really versatile template. The header images are all my photos and I will add more later. I’m going to try to update my blog more often and also add photos from my trips to Florida and to Cambridge… and of course photos from Finland.

I have also planned to add more tutorials, I now know how to use Illustrator and Inkscape. And since I need to update some of my courses for school, I will share some new Photoshop and GIMP tutorials too.

Abandoned blog

This is not meant to be an abandoned blog, even though that’s what happened… once again. Sometimes I wonder if things I leave behind are left behind because I don’t need them anymore, or if they are left behind by accident. I tell myself that I don’t have the time to write, but usually we make time for the things we feel are important. There seems to be times in my life when I feel the need to write, but there also seem to be those days, months and years when I withdraw from the written words and do not write that much. There’s a time for words and there’s a time for silence. This happens to be the time for silence and the time for words is yet to come…
